Profile

Palazzo Albrizzi is one of the many Venetian Palaces; it was built at the beginning of the XIV century and restaured in the first half of the XVIII century.

On occasion of the marriage of one of the famous Bianca Capello’s descendant with a member of Albrizzi family, the Palace was bought by the family of the bridegroom.

Capello family has been a member of the Venetian Aristocracy since the XIII century. It reached the status of nobless thanks to the success gained in oversea military campaigns in order to defend the sovereignty of the Serenissima.

Worthy of consideration are the frescos which entirely enrich the halls of the Palazzo, framed by stuccos of refined plasticity.
The fresco on the ceiling of the so-called “hall of peace” is a work by Jacopo Guarana.
