Profile

The Procuratie in St. Mark's Square in Venice is a space open to the public for the first time in 500 years after major renovations by David Chipperfield, Pritzker Prize for Architecture 2023. The third floor houses The Home of The Human Safety Net, a movement of people helping people active in 26 countries in partnership with 77 NGOs supporting vulnerable families with young children and refugees. Here, a spectacular enfilade of 15 arches connects the interactive exhibition “A World of Potential,” the Café with open-shelf library, four co-working rooms, and a large event area with independent access from St. Mark's Square. All spaces overlook the square through 100 round windows from which there is a unique perspective on the Basilica, the bell tower and the Doge's Palace. The 230-seat auditorium, with a lobby and three catering rooms, hosts more than 300 events each year, private and open to the public, conventions, conferences, concerts and gala dinners. The interactive exhibition makes its agenda even more dynamic as a time for networking, interaction and team building among participants. Companies and public and private entities can rent this multifunctional and versatile space. The technology is state-of-the-art: control room adjacent to the auditorium, two simultaneous translation booths, a 4k screen, 14 microphones for different functions, cameras and a state-of-the-art lighting system. Two terraces overlooking the rooftops of Venice, with a capacity of about 40 people each, and a green room for private meetings and interviews complete the spaces.
