Palazzo della Salute originated from the building renovation of the former Saint Francis The Great’s Hospital, in Padua’s historical center. It is a multifunctional venue, located in a fifteenth-century building, enclosing two distinct areas: The Congress and Event Center and the MUSME. The Congress Center and the Museum can host CME events as they have two independent entrances and different addresses. Inside the Congress Center you will find different areas dedicated to congress and educational courses, equipped with modern technologies for communication and teaching. Palazzo della Salute is an unusual and exciting and original setting, to intrigue, excite and amaze the participants and guests of an event. The congress area is divided into three floors: the ground floor hosts the main Conference Room Elettra. This 153 m2 room is used for conferences and frontal lessons, with a strong multimedial inclination: 4 projectors and a multitouch desk used to run plenary “discussion” presentations, as well as Tablets (iPads) that enable participants to interact with speakers. The first and second floor host another 4 rooms - two for every floor - that can be used for meetings, workshops and work-sessions. These rooms host from 20 to 70 pax. On the third floor there is also a dining area for buffet lunches. It has a back room reserved for food catering and preparation. The central salon of the museum is the modern Vesalian Anatomical Theatre, built on two floors; it can also be used for gala dinners and cocktail receptions for up to 150 people seated or 300 standing. There is an external area, the “Cloister”, common both to the Congress Center and MUSME, which can be used during warm seasons for served lunches, aperitifs and dinners and is able to welcome up to 180 people.
