Farm Holidays Podere Illica . An ancient manor house nestled in the heart of Arda Valley

LOCATION AND HISTORY
Podere Illica is located 2 km far from Castell'Arquato at the foot of the Monte Rosso hills and surrounded by Arquato’s badlands, rolling hills of vineyards and oak woods with beautiful views and easy access. The core of the farm is a seventeenth-century palace which original architectural structure has been preserved throughout the centuries. The Podere belonged to Diogene Illica, father of Luigi Illica, the writer of ones of the most famous italian Operas of Puccini, Bellini and Mascagni, after whom it is named.
ACCOMODATION
The renovation of the stables and the main palace has created different size rooms that combine comfort with respect for the original structure. All the rooms, with private bathroom, are spacious and some of them are equipped with kitchenette. The ancient fornitures, different for each room, creates a unique and sought-after atmosphere.
Breakfast with local and Km0 products is served every morning.
Rooms size: double, triple, 4 and 5 persons room.
RESTAURANT
The old stables was converted in the actual dining room, divided by round arches: you gain access and you are received in a warm and pleasant environment Emilian-farm-style, where every single stone from the walls has centuries of history to impart. The team manages each aspect of the restaurant with loving attention to local and seasonal products and with respect to traditional cooking culture.
EVENTS
Podere Illica offers a deeply evocative historical setting mixed with ultra-modern and dynamic coordination for conventions and business meetings, gala dinners, banquets and wedding receptions. The facilities are wide and varied.
Main conference hall with a typically "Old England" architectural structure. The hall has natural lighting and is equipped with 85’’ full HD monitor, flip chart, coffee and water station, toilet facilities. Companies can organise teamwork meetings of up to 70 persons.
Three different size seminar rooms to seat from 8 to 16 people.
All the open spaces (Italian-style garden, Courtyard, Fruits orchard, Swimmingpool deck, Restaurant Pergola) are at your disposal for the aperitif or to set tables, as well as to cut the cake and take the wedding photos.
Our on-site catering service can satisfy any requirements you may have to the carrying out of various events.
There are almost unlimited opportunities to make the the day of your convention, event or wedding a profitable and unforgettable experience.
