- OUR STORY
Founded in 1964 from the vision of Francesco Castaldi, Il Paradiso di Cesenatico was one of the very first dance halls (“balere”) in Italy.
By the late 1980s, the traditional live music format evolved as the DJ became an increasingly central and influential figure in nightlife entertainment—demanding innovation and a new concept.
After years at the forefront of Italy’s club scene, NRG was born from a collaboration between architect Gavioli and the Monticelli/Castaldi family.
During its golden years, NRG was awarded as Italy’s most beautiful nightclub for two consecutive years and even hosted the New Year’s Eve 1991/1992 live broadcast on RAI 1.
Over the decades, the venue has welcomed iconic artists such as Jovanotti, Luca Carboni, Lucio Dalla, Edoardo Bennato, Equipe 84, and Gipsy Kings, up to the more recent performances by world-renowned DJs like Gigi D’Agostino and top Italian rappers Fabri Fibra and Fedez.
Throughout its 60-year history, NRG has seen several management teams, all contributing to the legacy of the Monticelli/Castaldi family—bringing joy, music, and dance to millions of people.
On October 31, 2024, Club Paradiso was reborn—exactly 60 years after the original Paradiso’s opening—following a complete restyling of the historic winter hall.
The renovation project was overseen by architect Mauro Occhi in collaboration with AFA Arredamenti.
