Villa Marigola, home of the Carispezia Congress Center - Cariparma Crédit Agricole Group, is a place of singular charm: the variety of points of view, the very dense and variegated plant tissue, the scent of the Mediterranean scrub are integrated in the taste of the sea breeze.
The original building, of eighteenth-century structure, was the holiday residence of the Marquis Ollandini from the sec. XVIII.
The large terrace was the real heart of the building: it welcomed, for Ligurian use, the "citrus garden", a true wonder, a garden of cedars, lemons, chinotti, oranges, destined to fascinate the travelers of the Grand Tour.
And the park continued with the classic cultivation of olive trees and vines up to the beach where the "white house" tied to the memory of P.B. Shelley who stayed there singing it with clear lines.
From the mid-nineteenth century the architectural history of the Villa and of the garden is modulated on that of the great European romantic and decadent culture.
The Mediterranean maquis is softened in the forms of the garden where the paths intersect, ending suddenly in balconies and natural windows on the Gulf of Lerici, on the Castle, on the islands of the gulf, with extraordinary surprise effects.
Villa Marigola is located on a promontory overlooking the stretch of sea between Lerici and Portovenere called, for the frequentation of the poets Byron and Shelley, "GOLFO DEI POETI". In addition to the incomparable view, it is possible to spend the post-congress time discovering the characteristic Ligurian corners of rare beauty present in the Gulf and in the nearby "CINQUE TERRE" (today UNESCO World Park), between the uncontaminated sea and the hills lush and green. In visiting the medieval villages rich in history and tradition, you can taste the local cuisine made of simple ingredients and ancient flavors.
The climatic conditions of Liguria and in particular the microclimate of the "Gulf of Poets", make pleasant the carrying out of the congress activity in all seasons.
