Profile

The new cruise terminal in Palermo is a state-owned building of historical-architectural value, managed by West Sicily Gate Srl.
It has spaces and environments that can be easily divided and which are therefore particularly suitable for hosting the organization of meetings, congresses, and events. Also thanks to the magnificent external terraces overlooking the port, the gulf and the city.
The structure, designed by the Palermitan architect Salvatore Caronia Roberti, assistant and disciple of the more famous architect Basile, is one of the clearest examples of rationalist architecture.
Built in 1950 and completely refurbished in 2022, it skilfully combines a decidedly vintage exterior with interiors inspired by contemporary modernism.
The cruise terminal is located on the Vittorio Veneto pier inside the port of Palermo, a short distance from the most important sites of historical and cultural interest and in a strategic position with respect to the tourist infrastructure and the general services of the city, resulting in well connections with the main local transport infrastructures.
The building, which also has a large external square and a parking area capable of accommodating both cars and buses, has already hosted numerous important conferences and events.
Among these, just to name a few, the Red Bull Unlocked event, the kickoff of the new magazine Be Sicily Mag, the conferences "Noi, il Mediterraneo" and the "Public administration and justice - The delicate role of the public administrator" organized by the Port System Authority of the western Sicilian sea and the public assembly of Confartigianato - Imprese per la Sicilia.
