Villa Porro is one of the oldest villas in Lonate Pozzolo. According to a 1574 Census, this Villa is one of many estates owned by the Della Croce family, who werw local aristocrats. In 1700 the estate was acquired by the Porro family, who had Milanese roots and used the Villa as their country resedence. The U-shape building highlights the more ancient Via del Borgo wing, which can be clearly recognized by the signature Lombard yellow color, and the brick red building which holds the stables, the barn and the granary. The Lemon-house and the walls, which divide the central yard from the side ones, double the U-shape and clearly define the distinction between the servants' area and the aristocratics' wing. In the years between 1994 and 1997 renovations werw carried out in order to preserve the halls, the yards and the park. This process made Villa Porro a versatile estate that can be the perfect location for every event.
