Profile

The Miramare is a symbol of the Italian Riviera since 1903, one of the most exclusive holiday destinations, offering an impeccable service to its customers in an environment rich in atmosphere and equipped with all modern comforts.
From the very beginning the hotel was the scene of some important historical events. In 1933, from the panoramic terrace of the Miramare and for the first time in history, Guglielmo Marconi transmitted telegraphic radio and telephonic radio signals to a distance of 150 kms, thanks to microwaves of 60 cm. The hotel became the scientist’s headquarters where he lodged in Suite number 105. This suite still bears his name today.
Moreover, in 1971, the Emperor of Ethiopia, Hailé Seilassié, made one of his two stops during his official visit to Italy at the Grand Hotel Miramare.
Since 1945, the hotel has belonged to the Fustinoni family, who have always keenly sought to satisfy the needs of their international customers, as they did for Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, for whom they especially created a honeymoon suite.
Accommodations and Amenities – 75 rooms, some with balcony and with a choice of sea or tropical garden views. Each room offers air conditioning, satellite TV, complimentary mini bar, international direct dial telephone lines, wi‐fi, security safe box, hair dryer and “Mediterranean fragrance”, natural bathroom accessories, expressly created for the Grand Hotel Miramare, by Lorenzo Villoresi. Rooms are furnished in different styles, such as “colonial style” or “French style”. Décor: wall decor with frames “in gesso”, of different colours, wooden floors, high quality furniture.
Restaurants and bars ‐ “Vistamare” is an elegant panoramic restaurant in Liberty style. Brought back to its original splendor with the restoration of its original stuccos and frescoes, the restaurant offers a fusion of the best traditional Ligurian cuisine and great international dishes. With its renowned wine cellars, the restaurant is also open to non resident clients.
Summertime” Pool Bar and Restaurant presents the ideal spot for a pleasant and informal summer luncheon. Situated on the premises of the Miramare, we find the “Barracuda Piano Bar” which is an elegant alternative for evenings on the Riviera and “Le Colonne American Bar” for cocktails or afterdinner drinks.
The hotel offers an open air sea water pool.
Wellness ‐ The “e’SPAce” centre unites beauty care and sensory relaxation, in a harmonious combination and with effective results
The “BAGNI MIRAMARE” beach across the street is not managed
directly by the Hotel. The Beach Staff will assist hotel guests with checking space availability on an “on request” daily basis. Should space become available, it will be free of charge for Hotel’s guests as well as the use of the “Kids Club” on the beach.
Sports: Tennis, sailing, yachting, are conveniently located nearby. Rapallo Golf Club (4 km from the Hotel) offers special rates for our guests. All water sports in the sea (sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking) can be organised through the hotel’s concierge desk.
Congress Center ‐ The Miramare Congress Centre has seven conference rooms. The main one seat up to 380 people in theatre style. Versatile modular units provide practical and
elegant solutions for exhibitions, conventions, press conferences, banquets and cocktail parties. Direct, independent access from the street enables cars and other small machinery to be exhibited.
