INNSiDE by Meliá Milano Torre GalFa is located adjacent to the Central Station, an area which has been recently revived.The central location allows for easy access to all transport links and is just 8km from Linate International Airport.
It's located across 12 floors of the iconic Torre GalFa, an imposing building designed by architect Melchiorre Bega in 1959 and renovated in 2019, 60 years after its construction. Whilst the exteriors showcase a glass and aluminium structure, the interiors will combine urban design with the hotel group’s Spanish roots.
The hotel intends to offer a base for both business travellers and those visiting Milan to explore the city and its rich culture, design, art and much more. This Bleisure concept lies at the core of INNSiDE by Meliá.
The hotel lobby has been designed in a typical Milanese style, where guests can alternate between their business needs and entertainment. The open reception area provides a relaxed setting for the hotel’s contemporary restaurant, BATTICÖR – the name of the restaurant meaning ‘what makes the heart beat’ – is open from the early hours of the morning until late.
BATTICÖR offers modern Milanese cuisine prepared by a team of local chefs. The cocktail menu also reflects the city’s vibrant character. The name of the restaurant is also reflected in the heart shape on staff uniforms.
The lobby area is also open to non-hotel guests and is the perfect destination for a business catch up or an afterwork drink.
Five meeting spaces are available to hire, their names being Room 1, 2 (Big Ideas Space), 3, 4, 5 after their sizes, and they are 27, 32, 60, 63, 32 sq. The conference areas are equipped with the most up to date technology for events and meetings.
The hotel has 145 spacious new rooms. Standard rooms include a mini bar with healthy snacks and drinks, free unlimited WiFi and a Google Chromecast. Studio & Loft rooms are equipped with slippers and bathrobe, in-room espresso coffee machine and a selection of local beers in the mini bar.
INNSiDE by Meliá Torre GalFa offers a state-of-the-art fitness centre – an important element of the group’s brand - featuring a 24/7 e-fitness program with on-demand virtual lessons.
The hotel is conveniently located at the crossroad between the Porta Nuova district – a pedestrianised area dotted with shops, cafés, restaurants and showrooms – and the fashion district of Brera, Moscova and Corso Como which offers a dynamic area for nightlife.
INNSiDE by Meliá’s philosophy, ‘Stay Curious’ comes from their guests needs and desires for home away from home in which they can work whilst having the flexibility of the hotel’s services and facilities.
With their guests interests in mind, the hotel will put together a series of events throughout the year which will include fitness groups, artisan classes, food and beverage events and artist collaborations.
Within Meliá Hotels International, INNSiDE by Meliá is at the forefront of sustainability. Bedlinen and towels are all 100% eco-friendly and the hotel will work with local companies to eliminate single-use plastic. The underground car park provides electric car charging points and bikes will be available to hire directly from reception for guests to explore the local area.
The hotel’s attitude towards the environment will be welcomed due to its proximity to the Palazzo della Regione, an area of urban revival that is characterised by its zero-emission buildings.
