Torre del Parco (Turris Prati Magni) is located in the heart of Lecce and it is a Medieval and Renaissance symbol of the city. The monumental complex was built in 1419 by the Prince of Taranto Giovanni Antonio Orsini del Balzo. It includes the Tower wich is taller than 30 meters and is surrounded by a deep moat, the Prince’s Palace where he had established the Mint of State and the civil and penal Tribunal.
