Prizes and awards
- Villa Cavalletti represents a model of integration between heritage conservation, organic farming and sustainable hospitality. The estate is protected by the Regional Park of the Roman Castles, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Culture as a site of historical and artistic significance, and included in the Network of Historic Residences of the Lazio Region.
In 2024, the property received the Electric Friendly award in the Italian Hotels and Restaurants Guide published by eV-Now! and the Touring Club Italiano, in recognition of its commitment to sustainable mobility. Guests can benefit from electric and hybrid vehicle charging stations, e-bike charging points and an e-mountain bike service for exploring the surrounding area in an environmentally responsible way.
Environmental responsibility, embodied in the estate’s “Green Line” approach, is also reflected in its hospitality. All guest rooms are finished with Ecolabel-certified materials, housekeeping is carried out using natural Vegan OK certified products, and the courtesy set is made with extra virgin olive oil produced directly on the estate.
In line with its vision of harmony with sustainability, Villa Cavalletti is completing the "The Green Key" environmental sustainability certification.
Villa Cavalletti is also an ambassador, together with the Regional Park of the Roman Castles, for the European Oenomed project, dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing the Mediterranean rural landscape.
A distinctive feature of the estate is its Monumental Olive Grove, comprising approximately 5,000 centuries-old olive trees and recognized as part of the Slow Food “Ancient Olive Groves” Presidium, protecting one of the most significant agricultural and landscape heritages in the region.
The estate’s agricultural products have also received important national and international recognition. The organic extra virgin olive oil Olio et Amo and Tusculum – Olio di Roma PGI represent outstanding examples of the estate’s production. These labels have been featured in leading industry guides, including the Slow Food Guide to Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Gambero Rosso’s Oli d’Italia, and have received awards at international competitions such as the Japan Olive Oil Prize, Biol Novello, Olio Officina Festival, Solexpo and Oro Verde.
Villa Cavalletti wines have likewise been selected and awarded by some of the most prestigious wine guides and competitions, including Vitae AIS, Guida Oro Veronelli, Gambero Rosso International, Luca Maroni, Asia Wine Trophy, Gilbert & Gaillard, Golosaria and Sparkle. Particular recognition has been achieved by Roma DOC Riserva, Meraco Cesanese and the estate’s Spumante Brut. Villa Cavalletti also promotes territorial enhancement initiatives such as Vignaioli in Grottaferrata and the Crypta Project, while recently introducing the new Affresco Bianco Lazio IGT.
