Nestled along the stretch of coastline linking Tropea to Capo Vaticano in Calabria, Baia del Sole is a Mediterranean garden resort that has been welcoming guests from around the world for over forty years, offering an authentic holiday in close contact with nature without sacrificing the comforts of a quality hotel. The resort sits within an unspoilt natural setting, where views sweep from golden sunsets over Stromboli to a lush, vibrantly coloured hinterland.
The resort features 108 rooms and bungalows, spread across a flourishing Mediterranean park filled with pine trees, olive trees, palm trees, bougainvillea, cacti and oleanders. Accommodation options range from Classic and Superior rooms to Family Rooms — ideal for families with children, featuring a separate bedroom and dedicated services for little ones — as well as romantically styled exotic Bungalows, Deluxe rooms with walk-in shower and front-row beach service included, up to the Stromboli Junior Suite and the exclusive Executive room, with a private terrace and jacuzzi overlooking the park and sea.
The resort's gastronomic offering is one of its greatest strengths: 96% of the ingredients used are of regional Calabrian origin, 60% are organically certified, and 57% of suppliers are located within a 50 km radius. Le Giare restaurant, with its veranda nestled in the park, serves traditional local dishes using short-chain produce, while Le Pignate Beach Restaurant offers a seaside terrace perfect for a sunset aperitivo with views of the Aeolian Islands. The Sunset Terrace Bar rounds off the offering with cocktails served in glassware, in keeping with the resort's environmental ethos.
For those who enjoy staying active, the resort provides tennis courts, a water sports club, an outdoor pool with solarium, and a Technogym-equipped gym facing the sea. Children are well catered for at the "Elio's Tribe" Kids Club, with a daily edutainment programme divided by age group (3–15 years), running seven days a week.
Baia del Sole is equally well suited to corporate and private events: the Sala Le Giare can host up to 80 guests and is fully equipped for conferences and presentations, while the open-air spaces lend themselves to team building activities, gala dinners and immersive local experiences — from visits to olive mills and wineries, to exploring the Coast of the Gods by boat.
